Year 11

In Year 11, pupils continue their core subject study along with the options they have chosen. We also discuss and plan what future paths pupils may take with regards to their education, be that solely with us or in collaboration with other provisions, such as the college that partners us.

Some of the qualifications/accreditations offered include GCSE, BTEC, NCFE, Unit Award Scheme, Entry Levels and Functional Skills in a range of subjects.

We work closely with a local college and offer our KS4 and KS5 pupils the opportunity to attend part time and achieve accreditation through completion of a range of courses available.

Post 16

Pupils in Post 16 can continue with their studies at school, which may include accreditation at the following levels: GCSE, Functional Skills, Entry Levels 1-3, NCFE Level 1 and 2, Unit Award Scheme and BTEC Level 1 to 3. We offer accreditation in a range of subjects, including but not limited English Literature, Statistics, Biology, Film Studies, Media, Physical Education, Music, Horticulture, Art & Design, Home Cooking Skills, Business Studies, Information Technology and Employability.

The majority of Post 16 pupils have a blended learning programme that is tailored to their academic, vocational and social needs. For example, a Post 16 timetable may comprise of a work experience placement, core and option subjects, independent life skills and travel training. Post 16 programmes also include researching options for life after school and opportunities for work experience.
